What you should know

Permanent Cosmetics are a low maintenance treatment, not a no-maintenance treatment.

Maintenance is required to keep your brows in perfect condition. Although it is permanent make up, it can fade but will not disappear therefore colour refreshment is required. But you should not need this for approximately 12-18 months. This will vary with each individual. This is usually about half of the cost of the original procedure price.

As before, you may still need to remove the hair from around the brow shape.

To avoid pigment fade for as long as possible, avoid excessive exposure to the sun or UV rays and use a good sunscreen and moisturiser with SPF15. Skin products with glycolic or fruity acids can fade permanent make up. So avoid their use on your newly created brows.

Laser hair removal can fade and change the colour of brows. Please advise the laser technician you have permanent cosmetics and they can act accordingly.

Please inform the Blood Transfusion service if you donate blood, as you may not be able to give blood for four months post procedure.

If you are planning a MRI scan, chemical peel or any other similar procedures please inform them you have had permanent cosmetics. Also if you are planning anti- ageing injectables or cosmetic surgery as these procedures may alter the shape of your brows.

If you have or are planning Botox injections it must be done before you have Microblading done or 2 months after Botox.
